AES Wool Pad Filter System

The first line of defence against grease accumulation inside commercial kitchen ventilation and fans. Sourced sustainably, certified globally.

Sustainably Engineered Grease Mitigation

Our Wool Pad system uses 100% pure organic sheep wool framed securely right above your primary extraction canopy’s baffle filter. The natural wool fibers possess unique properties that are inherently fire retardant and exceptionally absorbent.

By arresting up to 98% of grease droplets right at the canopy line, the system guarantees that ductwork internals, duct joints, and exhaust fans remain remarkably clean. This reduces compliance cleaning costs by half.

Engineered for Modern Operations

The technical advantages of choosing natural wool over alternative filters.

98% Capture Rate

Specifically designed to arrest sub-micron grease particles before they compromise plenum ducting.

Flame Barrier

Fully tested to DIN-18869-5 and UL1046 safety protocols, eliminating flare-up flash transmission.

Eco-Disposal

100% biodegradable in landfill conditions, saving expensive hazardous waste disposal surcharges.

Saturation Indicators

Understanding when your wool pads need standard maintenance replacement.

Clean Wool State

1. Fresh Installation

The wool pad has a clean cream look. This indicates full operational capacity and peak airflow across canopy plenums.

Amber Absorption

2. Partially Saturated

Wool darkens to amber as it actively traps grease. Normal functioning, no immediate change needed at this operational stage.

Full Saturated State

3. Fully Saturated

Dark brown appearance. Small grease beads are visible on the surface. Saturated and needs simple replacement.

Recommended Replacement Cycles

Tailor your Wool Pad replacement schedule to your cooking equipment load.

Equipment Type

Example Cooking Load

Recommended Change Frequency

Heavy Load

Char-grills, heavy-fryers, wok stations

Every 1 - 2 weeks

Medium Load

Salamander grills, griddles, boiling tops

Every 3 - 4 weeks

Low Load

Ovens, steamers, induction units

Every 6 - 8 weeks

Canopy Maintenance Process

A simple, seven-step process to secure optimal grease capture.

1

Remove primary steel baffle filters from hood plenum.

2

Detach and discard the soiled grease saturated wool pad.

3

Clean and degrease the filter frames and edges.

4

Dispose of used wool pad safely (100% biodegradable).

5

Position a fresh wool pad in the support framing.

6

Refit primary baffle frame, ensuring seals lock.

7

Wipe down canopy plenum edges and finish.

Uncompromised Fire Safety Benchmark

All-Clean extraction filters are designed to mitigate fire risks completely. Sheep wool is naturally fire retardant due to high moisture and nitrogen content. Combined with our heavy steel baffles, it establishes an absolute DIN flame-barrier limit. It will not melt, drip, or sustain secondary ignition.
